Unique antique necklace with green malachite
A rare authentic vintage necklace that carries a strong ethnic or tribal (tribal) aesthetic. The jewelry combines natural materials with specific metal workmanship, which gives it a unique character.
The central element (Pendant) has a triangular shape with slightly rounded tips, made of darkened, patinated metal (it is possible to be a low-grade silver alloy, cupronickel or brass).
In the center of the triangle is inlaid a beautiful, oval malachite cabochon. The stone is surrounded by a fine metal edge with a twisted structure (type "filigree" or "rope"), which emphasizes it.
The necklace's string is distinguished by a complex, stepped structure, which expands in the front part - triple and double rows. Around the central triangle, the chain begins with three parallel rows of decorative elements, which further up pass into two rows, and towards the back end in a single string. Bamboo and wood tubes in two contrasting colors were used. The light brown elements resemble bamboo, while the dark beads look like carved wood with specific relief ornaments.
All beads are connected to each other with handmade metal rings and specific wavy (S-shaped) elements that give flexibility and strength to the jewelry. It fastens with a hook.
This type of jewelry is often associated with the exotic boho-chic style or traditional crafts of the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa (Berber style). The piece exudes character and history, suitable for collectors of vintage accessories.
