Vintage Italian brass plate, Rare, Old, Collectible

A rare antique decorative plate, made with great craftsmanship from brass. It has classic Baroque and Renaissance motifs, characteristic of exquisite European tableware from the late 19th or early 20th century.

The most impressive part of the plate is its wide, notched rim. It is made with a fine lattice (mesh) structure, which gives the metal object a lightness and airiness, reminiscent of lace.
Around the openwork mesh and along the very outer edge, lush relief ornaments flow. Classically stylized flowers (roses or peonies), delicate petals and lush acanthus leaves that curve towards the center are recognizable. The outer edge is wavy and richly decorated, following the natural course of the floral motifs.
The bottom of the fruit bowl is solid and has a relief symmetrical ornament in it. It consists of four large, unfolding acanthus leaves arranged in the shape of a cross, connected by fine pearl threads and delicate floral details.
The plate is made of brass.
The surface has an authentic, dark patina accumulated over the years (oxidation). This darkening in the deep relief areas creates a wonderful three-dimensional effect and depth of detail, emphasizing each forged element.
