Vintage mechanical alarm clock EUROPA in folding case, German tourist alarm clock
This is an iconic model of the famous West German brand Europa, produced around the 1970s. This type of folding alarm clock was an indispensable companion when traveling in the era before mobile phones.
This mechanical alarm clock is built into a practical folding case. When closed, the case protects the glass and the mechanism when carried in a suitcase or bag. When unfolded, the case becomes a stable stand for a table or bedside table. The texture of the case is black with a fine relief and a delicate gold edging along the edges.
The clock is square in shape, made of bright orange plastic typical of the 1970s. This "space age" color choice contrasts wonderfully with the dark case and gives it a great retro look.
The dial is light with a golden metal frame.
The numbers are large, expressive and colored in dark red.
Just below the number 12, the brand logo "EUROPA" is visible, and at the bottom, above the number 6, "2 JEWELS" is written, indicating the presence of two ruby stones in the mechanical apparatus for greater accuracy and longevity.
Great for travel purposes, this is an alarm clock that will wake you up for sure
